– there should be better communication to parents/carers in regards to waiting times and the process of what will happen whilst on this
– those professionals that are taking the assessment, must be ‘up skilled’ in autistic assessment training. A lot of what we have come across has been very old hat, e.g he can make eye contact so he’s fine!
– feedback in regards to a diagnosis appointment should see the parents fully informed of the assessment, and why conclusions have been made. Members from the panel that took the assessment should
